Our Mission:

The Kaufherr Center exists to advance the careers of performers and other media professionals by fostering community, providing resources, and offering opportunities for growth.

A center just for you.

The Kaufherr Center is 2,500 square feet of newly renovated space in Chicago's River North area, conveniently located close to film and broadcast studios, talent agencies, regional theaters, casting offices, and ad agencies.

Who is Kaufherr?

Founded in 2001, The Kaufherr Resource Center originates from the vision of the late, legendary voiceover artist Jerry Kaufherr, narrator of the “Morris the Cat” campaign. After Kaufherr’s death, the Center was launched through the generosity of the Daniel M. Kaufherr Charitable Trust. Fifteen dedicated performers took out their paint brushes and collected donations of furniture and equipment to create the center from scratch. Today, our mission and newly renovated space reflect Kaufherr’s vision: an organization committed to offering resources that support professional performers in reaching their career goals in the entertainment industry.
